FIELD: wireless communication systems including radiophone communications providing for translating words and phrases. SUBSTANCE: proposed method that enables subscriber to communicate with other subscribers while pronounced words and phrases are being translated includes dialing of information in the form of translation destination code and words that need translation on subscriber's set, this being followed by connection of subscriber's set with service center and data transfer to service center within 1-5 s, whereupon connection is completed. Service center identifies translation destination code and executes translation. Translation is conveyed from service center to memory device of subscriber's set and at the same time translation ready signal is passed from service center to subscriber's set. Upon subscriber's request translation is displayed on radiophone set panel. EFFECT: reduced time for establishing communications between subscriber and service center; enhanced economic efficiency of radiophone (cellular) communications. 2 cl
