METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATING THE CASES OF OSTEOARTHROSIS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2226413 C1

FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying complex treatment by combining drug therapy, electromagnetic radiation and radiation in visible and infrared bandwidth. Medicaments deeply penetrate underlying tissues and influence metabolism processes due to physiotherapeutic procedures being applied concurrently with medicamentous therapy. The method involves administering medicaments and treating articulation with transverse electromagnetic field and low intensity quasi-monochromatic pulsating visible and proximate infrared radiation with small spectral width and pulsation frequency of 100 Hz. Treatment unit having two inductance coils are connected in series and make aiding connection being a part of oscillatory circuit of selfexcited oscillator and two luminous sources. The self-excited oscillator produces sinusoid oscillations of carrying frequency belonging to 200-800 kHz bandwidth modulated with low frequency signal continuously varying in frequency within10-1000 Hz frequency bandwidth. The procedure is applied daily for 20-30 min. The total treatment cycle is 10-15 procedures long. The device has feeding voltage source, low frequency signal oscillator operating in 10-1000 Hz frequency bandwidth. Its output is connected to self-excited oscillator circuit via modulator unit and treatment unit having two radiators each having M photodiodes operating in visible and infrared bandwidth and inductance coil arranged as spiral on dielectric carcass manufactured as radially arranged leaflets with spaces. Each coil winding wire alternately envelops each side of every carcass leaflet in central zone of which photodiodes are uniformly arranged. Each radiator photodiodes are connected in series to feeding voltage source producing pulsating voltage of 100 Hz frequency. The inductance coils are connected in series and make aiding connection in self-excited oscillator circuit producing oscillations of carrying frequency belonging to 200-800 kHz bandwidth. The radiators are mounted in front of each other so that injury focus is placed between them. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 2 cl, 3 dwg
