FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: raw meal containing 70.5-72.5% microsilica from crystalline silicon production, 20.5-22.5% liquid glass, and 7.0% carbonized loam is prepared by stirring microsilica with carbonized loam followed by adding liquid glass. Resulting blend is molded using dry compaction technique and thus obtained samples are dried and fired at 650-700 C. Products are characterized by average density 1200-1289 kg/cu. m, compaction strength 30.5-33.5 MPa, and water absorption 30.1-32.6%.
