FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting infectious diseases. One should detect antibodies and specific immune complexes, moreover, in immunoenzymatic assay one should detect antibodies to nonstructural proteins (NS4) both in their free form and in composition of immune complexes, they should be washed parallel with buffer solution and 6M solution of urea followed by detecting the avidity of these antibodies. Acute form of hepatitis C is differentiated by the increase of antibodies' level by 12%, and chronic form by their decrease within 50-90%. EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of diagnostics. 3 ex, 2 tbl
