FIELD: astronomy. SUBSTANCE: device to observe solar corona is made of telescope, brightness compensator and photodetector. Brightness compensator comes in the form of assemblage of compensation elements placed in working field of input aperture. Each compensation element includes external shading disk of diameter d located at distance L in front of hole with diameter D in input port of telescope. Angular field Δ of vignetted corona is determined by relation Δ = (D+d)/2L. EFFECT: expanded spectral range with simultaneous decrease of scattered light and luminous losses. 2 dwg
