FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for observing a solar corona consists of a telescope, a photodetector and a brightness compensator from a set of several compensation elements located in the working field of the input aperture. Each compensation element consists of disc with diameter D located at distance L behind hole with diameter d in input hatch of telescope, disc front surface is mirror-like and is made in the form of concave mirror with focal distance larger than L/2, or in the form of flat mirror located at an angle to optical axis.

EFFECT: preserving the function of passing an angular filter while simultaneously reducing scattered light.
