EMULSION "ENDOMETRITSIT" FOR PROPHYLAXIS AND TREATMENT OF POSTPARTUM DISEASES IN COWS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparations that are used for prophylaxis and treatment of pathology of reproductive organs in cows. Emulsion "Endometritsit" comprising antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and accessory substances contains myotonic agent proserinum additionally. Emulsion comprises cefamezin and metronidazole as an antibacterial agents, prednisolone as an anti-inflammatory agent, and olive oil, emulsifier T-2 and distilled water as accessory substances. Emulsion comprises components showing the broad effect on uterus microflora and fungi, anti-inflammatory and myotonic agents. Emulsion exhibits high curative and prophylactic properties, its effect in uterus retains for 24 h, not less. After application of emulsion for prophylactic aim in placenta retention and difficult delivery the fertilization is 85%, and in treatment of acute and chronic endometritis the curative effect is 88.9% and 84.5%, respectively.
