FIELD: plastic metal working, namely apparatuses for uncoiling coiled strips out of reel or drum, possibly cantilever-type uncoilers. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for uncoiling includes hollow shaft mounted in bearing assemblies by cantilever fashion. Drum in the form of radially movable segments is arranged on said cantilever portion of hollow shaft. Mechanism for unclamping drum and mechanism for braking drum are also mounted on said cantilever portion of hollow shaft. Hollow shaft is provided with flanged sleeve and it is joined with end of radially movable segments of drum by means of holding rollers. On lateral surface of hollow shaft braking belt with mechanism for loading it is placed. Mechanism for unclamping drum is in the form of shaft joined with rod of power cylinder and engaging with end part of turning provided in hollow shaft. EFFECT: enhanced stability of uncoiling process of high reliability. 3 dwg
