FIELD: immobilizing liquid radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: method includes analysis of chemical composition of wastes to find concentration of most easily hydrolyzed Fe(III) cation in them and their chemical treatment by complexing composition out of range of carbonic acids or oxyacids depending on Fe(III) concentration. With Fe(III) concentration between 50 and 250 mg/l mole proportion of Fe(III) and of complexing compound is 1 : 7. With Fe(III) concentration higher than 250 mg/l mole proportion of Fe(III) and of complexing compound is 1 : 10. In this case pH is corrected to 1-3. With Fe(III) concentration below 50 mg/l pH is corrected to 1-1.5 and wastes are not treated with complexing compound. Prior to injecting liquid radioactive wastes reservoir bed is treated with solution incorporating 1.0-6.0 g/l of nitric acid, its amount being 10-15% of radioactive waste volume. EFFECT: enhanced safety of radioactive waste disposal. 8 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
