FIELD: electrical engineering; linear stepping motors. SUBSTANCE: linear stepping motor has two frictional straps installed within its case on diametrically opposite sides; they are joined together by means of hold-down spring and coupled with aid of links disposed either side of spring with axially saturated cylindrical permanent magnets loosely mounted within case; field coils are fixed outside the case concentrically to permanent magnets; each link is built of two members which are hinged together on one end and also hinged to frictional straps on other end so that angles between link members and longitudinal axis of hold-down spring are smaller than friction angles of contacting surfaces of friction straps and case. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced mass and size. 1 cl, 1 dwg
