LINEAR STEPPING MOTOR Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2227957 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering; devices whose working element is in translational step-by-step movement. SUBSTANCE: motor has nonmagnetic hollow barrel mounted in supports for linear movement and electromagnet incorporating cylindrical field coil and ferromagnetic core; field coil is rigidly mounted on barrel outside; ferromagnetic core is made in the form of two flexible members bent in opposite directions and hinged together through their ends; these members are, essentially, bimetal strips whose layers facing each other are made of flexible material and those facing outside possess magnetostrictive effect; ferromagnetic core is easily brought in contact with inner surface of barrel through convex surfaces of flexible members and is elastically mounted along axis with aid of two cylindrical helical springs attached to core at hinged joints of its members through one end of springs and to stops, through other ends. EFFECT: improved design. 1 cl, 1 dwg
