FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying direct current supplied to electrodes and medicamentous treatment. 0.5% metrogil solution is used as the medicament. The electrodes are arranged in opposition to each other on both eyelid sides and at least 5 electrophoresis treatment sessions are carried out. Session duration is selected within the limits of 5-15 min under 0.2-0.4 mA DC intensity. Polymer inlay possessing ion-exchange properties is placed between negative electrode and eyelids. Phonophoresis is administered after each electrophoresis treatment session to eyelids edges for 5 min with dermatological0.1% metrogil jelly being applied. The 0.1% metrogil jelly is applied to eyelids edges during 28 days. The device has negative and positive electrodes connected to DC power supply source. The negative one is fixed on metal rod having insulating coating and the positive one is longitudinally movably mounted on the said rod longitudinal. The device additionally has spring with supporting member and insulating plate having slits. The rod has fixing projections corresponding to the slits in shape and size.
