SHEET STRAIGHTENING MACHINE (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: plastic working of materials, possibly straightening rolled sheets and strips. SUBSTANCE: according to first variant of invention machine includes housing, upper and lower rows of cartridges with straightening and supporting rollers and screwdown mechanism of upper row of cartridges. Machine is provided with movable cross piece mounted in upper part of housing with possibility of rotation around machine axis and with possibility of vertical motion. Cartridges are light-weight ones; each row of cartridges with straightening and supporting rollers is tightened to rigid pack by means of two vertical lengthwise walls, two vertical cross walls and bracing members. Rigid upper pack is joined to lower surface of frame by means of horizontal working surface of cartridges and it is mounted in housing with possibility of rotation relative to axis of sheet straightening machine. Rigid lower pack is stationary mounted in housing. Screwdown mechanism of upper row of cartridges is mounted with possibility of engagement with upper cross piece. According to second variant of invention sheet straightening machine includes light-weight cartridges provided, for example with wedge type mechanisms having drive units for vertically adjusting straightening rollers of upper row according to change of sheet bending value. Upper rigid pack is joined to lower surface of cross piece and it is mounted in housing with possibility of vertical reciprocation motion. EFFECT: simplified process for making and installing machine, easy roller change operations, improved quality of straightened sheets in large thickness range. 2 cl, 4 dwg
