FIELD: construction engineering; performing repairs and emergency jobs on gas and oil pipe lines under pressure. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes shutting-off of pipe line by means of sealing pneumatic device secured in pipe line by delivery of air supply hose under pressure to elastic chamber. Working medium located before sealing device is discharged through flexible discharge hose. Pressure of working medium is checked by means of pressure gauge fitted on discharge hose which is positioned behind sealing device. Pressure in pipe line before sealing pneumatic device is controlled by means three-way cock fitted on discharge hose behind device. Discharge hose running through entire cavity of sealing pneumatic device is hermetically secured at its ends.
