FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: concentrate is ground to fineness of particles 2-10 mcm in presence of modifier, in particular phosphoric acid containing 20-60% P2O5, observing solids-to-liquids ratio 1: (0.1-0.5). Resulting slurry is treated with lime milk to pH 4-7 and thermally treated at 50-80 C. Pigment properties of titanium-containing product are thus improved and its sorption capacity increased more than twice.
