FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in communication equipment. Method of estimating amplitudes of a multifrequency signal by a spectral analysis method carried out with different duration of analysis further involves setting in advance: duration of initial analysis, values of boundaries of frequency bands into which the signal band is divided, and values of duration of analysis, corresponding to these frequency bands. Frequency bands for which the number of detected harmonics exceeds the threshold value are found. Analysis time duration corresponding to the found frequency bands is determined. Spectral analysis is carried out with found values of duration of analysis. Amplitudes of detected frequencies, values of which fall into frequency bands, are considered to be amplitudes of signal spectral components.

EFFECT: high efficiency of estimating amplitudes of a multifrequency signal.
