SUBSTANCE: invention relates to speech information digital processing and can be used in communication devices. Spectral analysis of the signal is carried out for several positions of the "sliding window". Spectral analysis is carried out by analysing multifrequency periodic signals represented by digital readings using compensation of combination components. Spectral components, the power values of which have exceeded the calculated threshold value, are found – the detected components. For each detected component, readings of the envelope of the signal and noise mixture are shifted by a value equal to half the period, the value of which is determined by the frequency of the detected component. Obtained readings are summed up with the initial ones. Spectral analysis is carried out using the calculated readings. If the power value of the analysed component exceeds the power value of this component calculated during the primary spectral analysis, then the duration of this component is not greater than the specified value. Otherwise, it is considered that the duration of this harmonic component exceeds the specified value.
EFFECT: high efficiency of making a correct decision on the presence of harmonics in the signal, the duration of which exceeds the specified value.
