FIELD: bank notes sorting technology. SUBSTANCE: device has input block for accepting directed bank notes from the outside, detecting means for determining authenticity, quality and nominal value of directed bank notes and for removing false bank notes, bank notes of bad quality and other bank notes and processor for controlling transportation of remaining authentic and accepted bank notes to means for their storage in order of their value and for controlling transportation of bad quality bank notes along transportation channel towards packing means and towards assembly for their packing in input block. Input block has at least two means for bank notes storage and two packing means. Also, processor is used for controlling transportation of at least portion of remaining accepted bank notes towards one of storage means in input block and from there towards packing means and packing assembly. Input block includes at least two means for collecting and packing bank notes, while processor is also used for controlling transportation of bad quality bank notes from detecting means straight towards one of packing means and from there towards packing assembly, and for controlling transportation of at least portion of remaining accepted bank notes towards one storage means and from there towards packing means for packing the rest of bank notes and towards assembly for packing bank notes.
