SUBSTANCE: device has means affording time-critical data in the form of stream of sequential time-critical transmission blocks. In addition it has means for discriminating stream recovery information out of time-critical data. This information includes at least one time information item for transmission blocks. Timecritical data stream can be recovered from mentioned stream recovery information. Device also incorporates means for tagging at least some of transmission blocks with tagged time information items over asynchronous channel. The latter has digital recorder. Time-critical data can be recorded in Moving Pictures Expert Group (MPEG) format where transmission blocks are given in the form of transport bursts.
