FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining power of beater shaft at various rotational speed thereof, with optimal cereal heap feeding value corresponding to minimal power of beater shaft; setting combine advancement speed by minimal power value of beater arranged at inclined chamber inlet end. Beater shaft has rotational speed sensor and is connected to hydraulic engine shaft. Hydraulic engine is connected through hydraulic line with pressure sensor to pump furnished with working volume regulator. Rotational speed sensor and pressure sensor are connected to first and second inputs of control unit. Working volume regulator is connected to first output of control unit. Advancement speed regulator is connected to second output of control unit. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced consumption of power for harvesting works. 3 cl, 3 dwg, 1 ex
