FIELD: light industry, may be used in fur-dressing for manufacture of pieces of clothing, decorative articles and fancy goods. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing 9-20 mm wide leather strip; cutting strip to obtain 1-2 mm wide and 4-15 mm long fringe; moistening strip; fixing one edge by means of stakes or nails on wooden surface; twisting strip along the entire length; securing other edge of strip and drying in such state; forming members for fixing of loops formed from leather cord; forming each subsequent row by interweaving its loops with those of previous row of loops. EFFECT: wider range of articles owing to usage of novel weaving and knitting process versions, increased decorative effect of articles produced and useful utilization of fur and leather semi-finished products. 4 cl, 4 dwg
