FIELD: technique for grinding diamond crystals, possibly in gem cutting industry branch. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of selecting optimal direction of grinding planes due to measuring effective resistance of diamond; in order to realize it applying to diamond negative electric current voltage relative to grinding disc; performing grinding in direction corresponding to least effective resistance of diamond. EFFECT: enhanced manufacturing capability of grinding morphologically complex raw diamonds due to accurate and reliable selection of optimal direction of grinding. 5 dwg
