FIELD: transport engineering; cross-country vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed propulsive device contains suspension and driving steerable wheel with central pneumatic type connected with suspension. Smaller diameter metal wheels with radial blades-grousers are secured to wheel at both sides. Suspension consists of two suspensions connected in tandem. First suspension is secured at one side on main wheel and is connected by other side with levers of second suspension whose torsion bar is connected with vehicle body. When driving along rough terrains, pot holes, ruts, hillocks, etc, when wheel gets into hole, road clearance increases, and when running onto hillock, stone, etc, road clearances decreases. Torsion bar provides vertical stabilization of body, and energy of impact both suspensions divide in two, thus decreasing wear of parts and unions of suspensions. EFFECT: reduced wear of suspension and shock-absorbing units, provision of vertical stabilization thus improving riding comfort on heavy roads. 3 dwg
