FIELD: emergency aids for water transport facilities; patches for repair holes in ship's hulls and sealing-up of objects under pressure, such as oil and petroleum product reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: proposed patch is made in form of rigid body provided with heat exchanger consisting of two collectors over external perimeter, pipe line fitted with shut-off and control fittings for delivery of cryogenic agent (mainly liquid nitrogen) from cryogenic reservoir to first collector. Under action of negative temperature, ice is formed between ship's hull and patch over perimeter of hole, thus ensuring tightness and holding patch on hole. EFFECT: low cost; reduction of time required for performing repair; enhanced safety. 2 dwg
