FIELD: flying vehicle propulsors; vertical takeoff and landing flying vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed main rotor includes shaft, hydraulic hub with blades for change of main rotor pitch and wobble plate. Main rotor has body with two or more blades secured on it at constant angle of inclination relative to axis. Mounted on blades are jet engines for practically instantaneous ignition of fuel in case of failure of main rotor mechanisms. Body is free to rotate in way of rotation of main rotor shaft (by means of respective overrunning clutch). In standard mode, blades form additional lifting force rotating together with main rotor. In case of failure of main rotor mechanisms, jet engines are started quickly twisting the body with blades relative to shaft of main rotor to rather high speed. Lifting force of blades ensures soft landing of flying vehicle. EFFECT: enhanced reliability; possibility of landing in an emergency. 3 dwg
