FIELD: railway transport; permanent way; rail butt joints. SUBSTANCE: proposed rail butt joint contains standard shape fishplates with longitudinal slots on outer surface installed at both sides of rail joint and with six or four alternating cylindrical holes of longitudinal or round cross section, and also bolts, washers and nuts. Used for fastening are either fish plates with six holes and similar-type ground arrangements, with three cylindrical holes of longitudinal section and three cylindrical holes of round cross section, one by one, or fish plates with four holes with similar-type group arrangements, two cylindrical holes of longitudinal cross section, and two cylindrical holes of round cross section, one by one. EFFECT: improved reliability of joining, prevention of breakage of bolt at daily and seasonal temperature fluctuationa. 5 dwg
