FIELD: mining industry, underground development of deposits of small and mean thickness with filling of worked-out area. SUBSTANCE: process filling worked-out area includes mechanical delivery of material by gravity over holes, formation of filling mass by periodic delivery of filling material and its compaction. Filling mass is erected under pressure of filling material in hole. First elastic close shell is lowered into worked-out area on cable with hose, then filling material is delivered till hole is filled completely and later it is moved to worked-out area, air is injected into shell till it reaches working pressure. Thereafter air pressure in shell is released. Cycles of delivery of filling material, injection of air into shell and its release are repeated till worked-out area is filled completely. Formula of invention gives limits of maximal radius of filling mass and diameter of hole. Elastic closed shell can be produced from rubber cord. EFFECT: enhanced safety of filling operations, raised density of filling of worked-out area with filling material thanks to compaction of filling mass by means of elastic closed shell, decreased labor input to process filling worked-out area. 4 cl, 1 dwg
