FIELD: detection of sulfur-containing gases, for example H2S, in current of gaseous mixture. SUBSTANCE: materials of measurement electrode, solid electrolyte carrying mixture of lead and calcium oxides and reference electrode are pressed to one another in sequence. Thereupon side surface of electrolyte and side and face surfaces of reference electrode are sealed and nonstoichiometric lead sulfide in limits of homogeneity zone is utilized in the capacity of measurement electrode. EFFECT: raised sensitivity and reproducibility (restoration of properties of sensor thanks to constancy of composition of measurement electrode), enhanced speed of response of sensor and potential for its multiple usage. 6 dwg, 1 tbl
