FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for generation of radar images of earth's surface with the help of radars with synthetic aperture. Technical result of invention lies in improved quality of formed radar image of earth's surface thanks to additional suppression of azimuthal ambiguous signals without utilization of directional properties of radiation pattern of antenna of radar with synthetic aperture. Characteristic feature of method consists in synthesizing of focused arrays displaying common phase center and identical phase characteristics of directivity during processing of radar signal. Focusing points of arrays are space-separated by distance less than average linear expansion of arrays. Then difference of output signals of synthetic apertures presenting signal of complex radar image is formed. EFFECT: improved quality of formed radar image of earth's surface. 6 dwg
