FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on emitting signals and using an antenna to receive signals reflected by the earth's surface and accumulating said signals while moving the antenna beam in a front sector of angles on the azimuth, synthesising the antenna aperture and generating a radar image. Emission and reception of the reflected signal in the entire field of view is carried out coherently while scanning the beam near the zero view, when the real beam, by moving smoothly, covers the entire front sector, thereby further expanding the spectrum of the received signal through scanning. The method then includes determining phase incursion over the repetition period of the received coherent radar signal, compensating for the phase incursion, generating two signals from the phase-compensated signal with different frequency modulation slope signs, selecting a signal with a positive and a negative slope, corresponding to signals received from the right and the left relative to the direction of movement of the aircraft, proportional to the azimuth direction of the signal, performing spectral analysis of the obtained signals, merging the obtained images from the two signals into a single radar image.
EFFECT: obtaining higher resolution owing to signal processing.
