FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: sulfonates are synthesized from extracts of aromatic hydrocarbons obtained by extracting gas oil fractions with selective solvents. Extracts are sulfurized and resulting product is neutralized. Thus obtained sulfonates are used as multiple-destination effective additives (for lubricants, cutting emulsions, drilling fluids). EFFECT: reduced cost price due to utilization of inexpensive accessible raw material. 6 tbl
