FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing synthetic sulphonate additives for lubricating oils, involving neutralization of linear alkylbenzene sulphonic acids with a side radical C20-C26 and dialkylbenzene sulphonic acids with two side radicals of C12-C14 calcium oxide or hydroxide, followed by carbonation, by treatment of reaction mass with excess of calcium oxide or hydroxide in solution of organic solvent and promoter with gaseous carbon dioxide. Method is characterized by the fact that a mixture of esters of terephthalic acid with paraffin-naphthenic oil in weight ratio of 1:9 to 7:3 is used as a diluent-stabilizer at the stage of neutralization of sulphonic acids. in amount of 90-100 wt.% per active substance of neutralized alkylbenzene sulphonic acid.
EFFECT: use of the proposed method increases colloidal stability of highly alkaline sulphonate additives and improves antifriction properties of lubricating materials containing the additive.
