FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: waterworks facility formed on mudflow channel carryover cone in place of egress thereof from through area includes longitudinal regulation and closed water-conduction structures. Longitudinal regulation structure is built from cater-conducting area to opposite bank of main river into direction different from through area axis and has crest elevation not less than end part level of through area. Closed water-conduction structure is built in river channel. Closed water-conduction structure have inclination not less than main river inclination. Cross-section of water-conduction structure provides estimated flow rate in main river. Inlet head of closed water-conduction structure is located from upstream side relative to longitudinal regulation structure. Outlet head of closed water-conduction structure is located downstream to confluence area of main river with down element of carryover cone along which channel for passing of water flow through mudflow channel when mudflow is absent is created. Closed water-conduction structure may be multi-channel, controllable, drainage and have cross-sectional dimension of not less than 3•3 m. Longitudinal regulation water-conduction structure may be formed as soil dam including easy washing out insert of suffusion soil, water-conduction regulating lock and tubular water passages. EFFECT: increased operational reliability due to prevention of main river blockage by mudflow drift and, as result, flowage of inhabited localities and structures located upstream. 11 cl, 8 dwg
