FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling system of locomotive internal combustion engine contains hot and cold circuits and engine, air cooler, water-to-oil heat exchanger, pumps, cooling sections with upper and lower headers, expansion tank with steam-air valve, pressure and suction pipelines, stand pipes, pipelines to let out steam-air mixture, bypass pipelines, upper three-way valves, upper and lower water level transmitters, pipelines for filling cooling system with water and water draining. Both circuits are provided with lower three-way valves installed in place of connection of suction and bypass pipelines. System is provided also with electromagnetic valves installed in upper headers of cooling sections and in expansion tank. Either one or both circuits are furnished with ejector installed in upper part of additional pipeline connecting pump outlet with upper part of expansion tank. System has also pipeline for injecting water from cooling sections one end of which is connected to ejector from top and the other, to suction pipeline on section between lower three-way valve and lower header of cooling sections, and filling pipeline connected pressure pipeline with suction one. EFFECT: provision of reliable draining of water from cooling sections when locomotive is in shed and filling of system with water. 2 cl, 1 dwg
