Abstract RU 2230251 C2

FIELD: methods of storage of natural gas. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes separation of natural gas into component at low number of carbon atoms containing mainly methane and ethane and component at high number of carbon atoms containing mainly propane and butane. Component at low number of carbon atoms is stored in first adsorption reservoir by method of adsorption. Component at high number of carbon atoms is stored in second adsorption reservoir. According to other versions, activated carbon is used as adsorbing agent. Activated carbon is preliminarily treated by reduction of pressure at high temperature or washed in organic solvent and calcined in inert or hydrogen medium. Prior to adsorption of natural gas, normal paraffin is adsorbed. According to another version, side-chain paraffin is separated from natural gas. According to next version, natural gas is separated into component containing no side-chain paraffin and component containing such paraffin adsorbing first c0mponent and then second component. Distribution of diameters of pores of adsorbing agent ranges from 12 to 15 angstroms. EFFECT: high density of storage. 16 cl, 16 dwg, 9 tbl
