METHOD FOR TYPING CYRILLIC HAND-WRITTEN TEXT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: typography; ways of printing hand-written text; computer typing of hand-written text. SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves use of computer graphics to produce three groups of graphemes of Cyrillic hand-written characters, respectively, with right-hand end kern of upper, lower joint, as well as graphemes free from right-hand end kern or with shortened right-hand kern. First group of graphemes are disposed in Cyrillic character locations of code table and second and third groups, in its Latin character locations. Code table is entered in operating system of computer. Additional keyboard is generated in Latin character locations of code table in compliance with disposition of characters, this keyboard bearing graphemes disposed in Latin character locations of code table. In the coarse of typing of text standard keyboard is used for its pre-formatting with computer operating in Cyrillic text typing mode; for correcting text obtained computer is switched over during its final formatting to Latin text typing mode using for the purpose additional keyboard. During final formatting of text all characters in typed text where adjacent characters are incorrectly joined in typed text at upper joint, in word, or with incorrect end character at end of word are replaced by correct characters. Operator skilled in the job can use standard keyboard for correcting typed text but in the process he uses additional-keyboard boilerplate for reference. As a result copy-book hand-written text is obtained. EFFECT: enhanced quality of copy-book hand-written school text typed by means of computer. 4 cl, 11 dwg
