SUBSTANCE: method of automatic thickness adjustment of the device for pointing out the data on the display screen or the cursor height of the electronic device for pointing out the data on the display screen, to which for example a beam pen or a mouse-type coordinate pointing device refers, is implemented on the basis of the text or the pictures pointed out by the user. When the user directs the electronic device for pointing out the data on the display screen to the pointed out text or the pointed out pictures, the height of the text or pictures is determined and automatic adjustment of the cursor height or thickness of the device for pointing out the data on the display screen is performed.

EFFECT: providing automatic cursor height adjustment of the electronic device meant for pointing out the data on the display screen in response to determination of the height of the pointed out pictures or the pointed out hard copy or handwritten text.
