FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. Frequency converter comprises input terminals of A, B, C for connection of supply mains, output terminals for connection of three-phase load, three equally made three-phase transformer (TT), each of which comprises first and second input and output three-phase windings (TW). Initial leads of phase windings of first input TW and ends of phase windings of second input TW are connected to corresponding input terminals A, B and C, and other leads of each of input TW are connected to, related to said winding, a switching element in form of a three-phase diode bridge with electronic switch in DC circuit. Phase windings of input TW that one of transformer is connected in series to input terminals A, B, C, and phase windings of input TW of two other TT are connected in series to input terminals B, C, A and C, A, B. Similar phase windings of output TW of said three-phase transformers are connected in series in three branches, which are combined in star circuit to make three-phase output.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of increasing efficiency of frequency conversion, expansion of functional capabilities and field of use of converter.
