SUBSTANCE: invention provides hydrocarbon conversion catalyst including x-ray-amorphous carbon obtained by vaporization of carbon-containing material and having following characteristics: temperature of in-air oxidation start Tso≤320оС; maximum oxidation rate temperature Tomr≤590оС; temperature of in-air oxidation end T0e≤630оС; initial hydrogenolysis rate at 700оС in absence of hydrogen-activating catalyst Vs≥2.08 wt % carbon/h; and limiting amount of MnO
EFFECT: extended catalytic spectrum, prevented coking and sensitivity to attack of usual catalytic poisons.
