FIELD: working materials by cutting, possibly removing large allowances and finishing blanks of different metals with trend for occurring flaws such as burnouts and microcracking.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting to combination tool head rotation and feed motion. Combination tool head includes grinding disc and working members in the form of U-shaped bundles of needles. As wear of grinding disc increases said needles move in radial direction as they are arranged in holder in the form of coil spring mounted along one axis with housing of tool head. End portions of spring are rigidly joined with stationary flange and with intermediate movable disc.
EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, improved efficiency of working due to elimination of rough and semifinished grinding operations, enhanced quality of worked surface.
