FIELD: polymer materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrophilic treatment of films prepared from styrene resins and to use of modifiers improving, for example, antistatic and sliding properties of films. More particularly, invention relates to films designed to be machined, e.g. on machine for manufacture of bags or on applicator for window films, in particular for styrene resin films suitable for use as window films. Styrene resin film comprises styrene resin substrate subjected to bilateral hydrophilic treatment and composition containing at least antistatic agent and agent improving external sliding, which are applied onto treated surfaces. Ratio of surface tension values on first side to opposite side ranges from 1.15 to 1.72 and the weight of composition coating on the opposite surface constitutes 25 to 95% of the weight of composition coating on the first surface. Agent improving external sliding is selected from group including inorganic microparticles and ether-modified silicones. Resultant films acquire antistatic properties and good adhesiveness for envelope paper, which allows one to accelerate sticking together film and envelope paper and therefore to avoid error of positioning between film and window borders at high-speed application of film on windows under high-speed film revolution conditions (600 rpm or more).
