SUBSTANCE: method includes displacing liquid from the well by pumping inert gas mixture into the well. During preparation of inert gas mixture atmospheric air is previously compressed by means of at least two screw compressors. Atmospheric air under pressure is let through device, which filters out oxygen, and then compressed to operating pressure of feeding into the well in piston compressor. Drive of screw and piston compressors is a single driving engine. Flows of compressed air at outlet of screw compressors before being fed into device for filtering out oxygen are combined in one flow. In another variant atmospheric air is previously compressed by means of at least one screw compressor and low-atmospheric steps of piston compressor. Process of compressing to operating pressure is performed in high-atmospheric steps of piston compressor.
