SUBSTANCE: proposed cylinder block contains cylinders with end faces. At least one of cylinder end faces is made with bevel to longitudinal axis of cylinder. Height of bevel H is chosen on condition that where L is length of half-wave of acoustic resonance oscillation in cylinder or in form of broken line, or in form of smooth curve of depth, along longitudinal axis of cylinder, not less than half and not more than ten wave lengths of acoustic resonance oscillation, or form of face of length not less than half and not more than ten wave lengths of acoustic resonance oscillation.
EFFECT: decreased wear, increased service life of cylinder block.
