FIELD: mechanical engineering; threaded joints.
SUBSTANCE: invention be used for locking threaded joints exposed to heavy and long vibration in automotive industry, tractor building, locomotive building, aircraft engineering and other industries and construction. Proposed unit has thin-walled shaped tubular or cap-like fixing member installed over nut and locknut. Profile of its faces at level of locknut is displaced relative to profile of faces at level of fastening nut through angle of α.
EFFECT: reduced cost of manufacture of nuts and locknuts with provision of high reliability of locking, improved efficiency of locking under high oil-and dust-loaded conditions.
