FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to locking of threaded joints exposed to heavy vibration. According to proposed method, after pressing of parts to each other, washer is placed over part on threaded rod, fastening nut is turned on and then locknut. Spring washer can be installed between fastening nut and locknut. To fix position of faces pf locknut relative to faces of fastening nut, thermosetting tube or thermosetting tubular cap is fitted heightwise then nut and locknut on threaded rod from surface of washer and height than locknut over side faces on nut and locknut with clearance, and said tube or cap is subjected to heating.
EFFECT: reduced metal usage, force required for locking, provision of corrosion protection of threaded joint members.
