FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, sealing equipment for rotary shafts and mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: end sealing device is designed for rotary shaft, whose sealing contact is defined by cooperating members of immovable and rotary units. Rotary unit has cartridge with first ring put thereon. Second ring is arranged on cartridge before first ring and fixed thereon by, for instance, thread. First ring is tightened with second ring by means of, for instance, screws. First ring and cartridge contacting surface is made conical. Transverse slots on inner surface of cartridge in the vicinity of portion embraced with first ring are formed as concentric circles and longitudinal slots are formed on cartridge cylindrical surface. Longitudinal slots are extending perpendicular to transverse slots and are uniformly arranged on cartridge peripheral surface.
EFFECT: increased loading capacity, compact axial construction and provision for prolonged and reliable sealing of rotating units.
