FIELD: equipment for mounting of reinforced plastic pipes, for example polyethylene pipes, and for cutting of steel reinforcement into such pipes.
SUBSTANCE: joining apparatus has reinforced plastic pipe and metal pipe put thereon. Pipe surfaces to be joined are made stepped, with step on outer surface of plastic pipe being raised above reinforcement layer. Tight connection is provided by pressing part of plastic pipe, from which reinforcement layer is removed, to metal pipe. Plastic pipe is properly pressed to metal pipe by means of annular rim formed on outer surface of plastic pipe step. Mated annular bore with through radial channel is formed on inner surface of metal pipe.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for reliable connection adapted for withstanding of high pressures in pipelines.
