FIELD: shielding devices for structures suffering high-intensity pulse loads.
SUBSTANCE: proposed shielding device has double-layer explosion-protection shield secured on housing of structure being shielded by means of fastenings. In addition it is provided with base rigidly fixed by means of posts to housing of structure being shielded and post-mounted catcher disposed between shield and structure being shielded. Fastenings chosen for the purpose destroy under action of pulse impact on shield; one of shield layers is secured on base and disposed at end of pulse impact direction; other shield layer is applied to rear surface of first layer; catcher is made in the form of large-cell lattice for easy transit of second-layer fragments. Strength of first-layer material of shield is higher than that of second-layer material.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection from high-intensity pulse loads at minimal size and mass per structure.
