FIELD: strengthening metallic surfaces of machine parts by electric spark alloying.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily normalizing part; then alloying worked surface by means of refractory components of hard alloy at using main hard-alloy tool-electrode; mechanically deforming surface layer by means of second tool; combining alloying process with mechanic deformation of surface layer by smoothing; providing constant electric and mechanical contact of part and working tools; performing working by means of doubled tools; mounting second tool with cylindrical working zone in the same axis as main one and insulating it from first one.
EFFECT: possibility for making oriented micro relief on worked surface, improved wear resistance of surface.
