FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of worn surfaces of steel products. In method wearing surface is coated with layer of indium by spark-erosion alloying with pulse energy Wp= 0.01-0.03 J, then, coated with indium surface by spark-erosion alloying is applied with wear-resistant composite material with pulse energy Wp= 0.35-0.42 J, wherein electrode is made from wear-resistant composite material of following composition: > 10-30 wt% mixture of 1M and < 70-90 wt% of mixture VK6, wherein 1M includes 70 wt% Ni, 20 wt% Cr, 5 wt% Si, 5 wt% B.
EFFECT: invention provides protection of steel items from abrasive and other types of wear due to application of their wear surfaces wear-resistant composite coatings, increase quality of parts, ability to resist wear, thus ensuring reliability and durability of their operation.
